I’ve traveled a lot throughout the United States. I have tons of great memories (and great photographs) of those trips. Here’s a nostalgic look at some of the highlights of my coolest travel experiences:

• Discovering a white water river at a campground in Oregon. We had no idea it was there. We just pulled over because we were tired and then we realized we were in one of the most beautiful spots in the world.
• Taking swimming classes Miami on a whim. I knew how to swim but a friend who was with me didn’t so we signed up for swimming lessons Miami together and had a really great time in the pool.
• Meeting an old man who worked at the only gas station in this middle-of-nowhere town. He had worked there for over forty years and had lots of interesting tales to tell about the characters that had come through there.
• Falling in love in San Francisco. They say it’s the city where you lose your heart and I definitely lost it again and again during my travels when meeting men who lived there.

These memories are the little things that have stayed with me after a number of big trips. I hope I keep on collecting more of them for a long time to come.
