My family is composed of funny members who always argue in jest about the tiniest of things.

Last year, we moved to our new apartment that has three rooms.  So, that’s one room for me and my wife, and my two kids each has one. It is a big apartment with a nice city location.

Our argument was on the sizes of beds.  I initially wanted to have a king bed for me and my wife and then single size for the kids.  But my 10-year old daughter wanted a queen bed because, as the name goes, she is a queen.  And my 7-year old, hearing our conversions, said he wanted a prince size.  Of course, there is no such as thing as prince size bed.

In the end, we ended up buying a 2 king sized and one queen.  I explained to my son that he will soon grow up to be a king.  And then he threw a question which was hard to answer: “Why doesn’t mom have her own queen bed?

Now it gets me thinking, what if our family best friend who always has a lot of joke to share decides to visit us from Europe?  Shall we buy him a joker size bed?
