Take a Virtual Vacation

We would all love to be able to take a few weeks off of work to go on a vacation. But what if that’s just not in the cards for you right now? One thing that you can do to gain some of the benefits of a vacation is to take a virtual vacation. That’s right; you can take a vacation on the Internet.
A virtual vacation can be done simply by planning out an entire vacation that takes place online. Let’s say that you want to take a week-long vacation to Canada but you can’t. You could spend every evening of one week exploring Canada through the Internet.
You could start in advance with a planning stage. This is just like what you do when planning a normal vacation. You would look at different Canada vacation ideas and plan the things that you wish you could do. You would then create an itinerary for your pretend trip. This gives you the same joy that you get from planning a normal vacation.
During the week of your “trip” you would virtually do the things that you wanted to do. For example, you could take a Canadian Rockies train ride by watching YouTube footage that other people have posted of this exact experience. Sure it’s not quite the same as being on the train but you’d be surprised how much fun you have just watching the videos.
Doing this instead of doing your normal post-work routine (the gym, tv shows, etc.) will add some spice to your life. That’s what a vacation is supposed to do. A virtual vacation is better than nothing. Why not try it?
