Self Improvement
By Brainey on Nov 11, 2008 in Health
My husband recently improved his lifestyle with a procedure called Lasik . I am now inspired to improve something about my life: my teeth. I have always been bothered by the large gaps between my teeth. I read something in the Times regarding flossing being the key to long term dental health. Flossing has never been a problem with my large spaces, but smiling is always something I have felt self-conscious about. All my wedding photos include my husband’s huge glasses and me, smiling with my mouth shut tight.
I didn’t know where to begin with self-ascribed my mouth improvement mission so I started a basic web search for a Washington DC dentist and Washington Cosmetic Dentist. I thought I would just find the regular items I’ve heard advertised like teeth whitening and braces. I even searched Washington DC Invisalign to see if that would be a better route for a teeth straightening service.
Instead of just basics information regarding orthodontics, I was surprised to discover all the advances made in dentistry over the last several years. The science of dentistry has moved parallel with technology to the point that there are many amazing things they can do with teeth in just a single day.
I am excited because I now have an appointment with a Bethesda sedation dentistry office to have what they call “instant orthodontics.” They will have their Anesthesiologists provide me with deep sedation while they apply porcelain laminates to close my gaps and give me the smile that should have been present on my wedding day. Perhaps when I am done, my husband and I can renew our vows and have a new album made!
