It won’t take up much room wherever you’re staying, even if you’re sharing space in a place like a youth hostel. You shouldn’t limit yourself to using the machine only at home since your sleep apnea doesn’t stay at home when you leave. Although it’s a small investment, a second (smaller) sleep apnea machine can make your life more pleasant at times when it may matter most.
