Competition for the Lawyer Commercials?

I was in Las Vegas for a convention, and on the TV they had an ad for Las Vegas bail bonds which kind of surprised me. I had never seen a television ad for this kind of thing before, but I guess in Las Vegas, bail is probably more common than it is in rural Idaho. I’m not even sure if we have a bail bondsman in our town! Of course we have all of those ads for lawyers clogging every channel all of the time, but I think that’s just part of the current American culture.
So I’m telling a buddy of mine about the commercial, and he said that he had recently been in Tucson on a business trip and while there he had seen an Arizona bail bonds commercial on TV! So maybe this was not as uncommon as I had originally thought. Maybe the big metropolitan areas all have these kinds of commercials.
That’s when I think I recognized the big picture. This is the next big up and coming type of commercial that is going to clog up all of the TV channels. They must have figured out how well these cheesy commercials work for lawyers, and now they re going to hop on the bandwagon. But hey, it’s a business, and they are there to make money, right? After all, that’s the American way.
