Those BBQ islands are sweet!! You gotta have the space for them though. I don’t think you could put one on an elevated deck.

Yeah just make sure you don’t let any critters make a home underneath the cover. I saw on TV once where this guy was getting his grill out, and he noticed some bees coming out from underneath the cover so he set off an inset bomb. Turned out the bees had built a hive under his grill and there were HUNDREDS of them under there! Obviously, though, he hadn’t used his grill in a really long time.

Do you have a cover for it? That would probably help keep the pollen out … plus then you wouldn’t have to see it when it’s not in use.

What’s underneath your elevated deck? If it isn’t paved, maybe you could look into cementing it. Then you’d have a nice slab area where your husband could put a big grill, and you wouldn’t have to look at it!

What is it with men and their grills? They all have to have them, and there’s never a good place to put them. I’m with you: I don’t like looking at them either!
