I was thinking about going back to school, but couldn’t afford to give up my present job and move elsewhere to do it, even though I knew it would help boost my salary in the future.   I was discussing this with my best friend, who suggested I look into taking online courses.  It turns out she had recently read a news article about them. I found out that many schools now offer online college degrees.  This meant I could take classes, keep working, and stay right where I was – what a relief! 

Another thing – online education has been growing in popularity and acceptance as colleges and universities offer everything from online business degrees to online nursing degrees.  Many schools that have always offered traditional classwork now have online classes too (I find that reassuring). This is making more education choices possible for all kinds of people, whether they already have a college degree or not.  And as more people take courses online, there is more acceptance of online degrees on the part of employers.  There is even financial aid available to students.  I think the opportunity to get an online education is something that benefits everyone.  What a good idea!
