3 Job Options for a Wanna-Be Golf Pro
By bwb on Jan 14, 2008 in Careers
All that you’ve ever really wanted to be was a golf pro. Unfortunately, what we want isn’t always how the cookie crumbles. Many people find themselves discontent because their ideal career path didn’t pan out and they aren’t quite sure what to do with their lives. They end up spending a bulk of their lives working in call centers and customer service positions because they can’t figure out what they really want to do.
Your best bet for career happiness is to take what you’re passionate about and to find an alternative job in that field. So you can’t be a golf pro; there are other golf jobs out there that might make you happy. Here are three choices to consider:
- Golf Management - Work at a golf course or even a resort putting your management skills to work for you.
- Merchandising – Create merchandise related to golf and sell it. You can even do this one from home!
- Teaching – Those who can’t do, teach. Why not get a job at the local college teaching golf?
We can’t always have our dream jobs. But we can put a spin on those jobs and find a career that we’re content to spend our lives enjoying.
