Cool Mothers Day Gift Basket?

I was wondering if anyone knew of any really cool gift baskets for women.  I usually give out gift cards and gift certificates for birthdays and at Christmas, but my best friend will be celebrating her first Mothers day this year after her and her husband adopted a little baby girl from over seas. I want to get her something and I really think the occasion should be marked with something other than a gift card.  So I want to surprise her will a really neat Mothers day gift.

I was thinking of a Mothers day basket, but I don’t want to get her anything traditional, because she is not exactly the traditional kind. She and her husband travelled for most of their lives and at the age of 50 finally decided that they wanted to be parents.  I know getting her a card and some chocolates would be fine, but I’d like to go a little be out of the box on this one.

If anyone has any ideas for some neat mothers day gift baskets, that would be great. I really want to get her something amazing and unexpected, but I still want it to have something to do with being a mother.  Thanks bunches.Fruit Basket

Have you thought about sending one of those edible bouquets? I think they are really sweet, and very unexpected. They cut the fruit into shapes of flowers and some they will dip in chocolate. That might be a nice and out-of-the-box idea!

I think that some kind of mother’s indulgent basket would be nice, something that includes some nice bath salts, lotions, a bottle of wine, or some candles maybe? Being a mother is hard work, and I think there are few better ways to say “Happy Mother’s Day!” than giving a woman something just for her!

Maybe you should just skip the basket and replace it with something else, like a gift certificate to a spa for a day or tickets to the symphony. That is really personal and I think more thoughtful than just a basket.
